The student advisory council consists of Omani student associations in the UK, under the direct supervision of the Cultural Mission. Student associations also exist in the different scholarship countries. Such associations play a vital role in organizing student events and activities in line with the annual programme of student activities.
Student associations aim to:

Help new scholars get acquainted with and cope with British society and other European societies.

Strengthen national links by organizing national events and graduation ceremonies and celebrating the National Day under the supervision of the Cultural Mission.

Promote social and cultural bonds among students during their study abroad.

Acquaint students with the various cultural, historical and social aspects of the Sultanate through the scientific, cultural, social, sporting and information activities and programmes organized by them in the educational institutions where they study or in the cities and towns where they live.
The advisory council also helps new students adapt to the academic and student social institutions by helping to register their clubs with the universities where they study, and to practice their different activities and religious events.
