Health care / Health insurance
According to the immigration authorities, medical treatment is free on joining a study course for 6 months or more. Therefore students will enjoy full medical care for free, and avoid paying for health insurance. After settling down in their accommodation, students must register with the general practitioner (GP) nearest to their accommodation or educational institution. Dentistry will be at the expense of the student, and the Mission will reimburse the cost subsequently if the student is on full scholarship, and in emergency or critical cases. As medicines are not free, the student will be entitled to a monthly allowance of £15.
